There’s a more stylish way of stretching earlobes and this is by using ear tunnels. These types of ear accessories may just be a few centimeters in length but they do portray a semblance of a real tunnel. And like real tunnels they are amazing and fascinating. Personally, I wouldn’t go for them but then I don’t have that adventurous spirit in me. Ear tapers is more of my agenda. However, to those who go for flesh tunnels as they are sometimes called my hats off to you. You deserve the attention for being bold, daring, and different.
Man’s fascination with flesh piercings has its beginnings rooted since the prehistoric eras. It was usually reserved for nobles and the high priests and his followers. Today, everybody’s doing it and for whatever purposes they’re worn, I’m sure it has mostly nothing to do with being a blue blood or religion. Ear tunnels are ear stretching device, nothing more. But it’s a dashing way of doing it.
Wearing ear tunnels maybe a fashionable way of increasing your ear’s capability of wearing bigger ear accessories but you have to follow the guidelines of proper ear stretching. Ear stretching is done gradually and stretching your earlobe to the limit at one time may cause permanent damage to your ears. Ears may not be as visible as our noses and eyes but they’re still highly conspicuous and are prominently displayed.
The size of the ear tunnel gauge determines its ear stretching capacity. The bigger the gauge the bigger the hole will turn out. Sizes vary and your ear capacity will depend on the present size of the ear holes you have. You can work it out until you obtain the size that you desire. Worn properly, they will look elegant and marvelous on their wearer’s ears. Some people, however, are using them too much making them appear bizarre to disgusting.
There are several ear tunnel designs that will really impress you. Some of these tunnels are decorated with semi-precious and precious stones in a variety of colors: black, orange, blue, and more colors than you can think of. Some creative designs include flower designs, stars, and arrows on the edges. The tunnels themselves are designed to look like stars, skulls, spokes, and spider webs just to name a few. Multi colored designs are also available and they just look great. Custom made tunnels are also available if you want to have your own design.
Ear tunnels come in several wonderful materials. Surgical steel, stainless steel, gold, sterling silver, glass, marble, acrylic, name it and its going to be there. They’re also available in organic materials. Wearing one is one is not problem as long as they fit your ears; all you have to do is insert them into your ears and lock them.
Proper hygiene should be observed when you wear you’re an ear tunnel. Clean them and your ears every time you take a bath to prevent allergic reactions or skin irritation.
