0 Gauge Plugs

Ancient civilizations used to believe that the bigger the ears a person has, the longer their life spans are, but that has nothing to do with 0 gauge plugs. We may talk more about the ears, but plugs can also be drilled in other parts of the body.

These 0 gauge plugs come in several designs such as the natural coco wood designs, the shiny metallic surgical steel, or the more sophisticated titanium plated plugs. You can go with simple styled, bare looking plugs or the more magnificent looking stone encrusted ones.  Some made-to-order plugs are decorated with real diamonds and could cost as much as diamond encrusted jewelries.

The plugs may come in several forms, some as simple as saddle designs to the more sophisticated and bizarre nose and breast plugs. They can look like rings, horns, bars, stars, icons, talons, barbells, anything and everything found under the sun.

0 gauge plugs are just one of the many kinds of body plugs. They can adorn the body on every part where they can be possibly attached. The lobe of the ears is the most popular anatomical part of the body where they can be found, while the navel, nipple, tongue, eyelid,  lip, and even the most sensitive and private parts of the body are less visible, it would be wise to not count them out..

Smaller or bigger body plugs compared to 0 gauge plugs are also available, depending on your desire. For the more timid individuals they can choose the smaller plugs and for the more adventurous souls they can go for the bigger plugs. But attaching the bigger plugs doesn’t happen right away, your ear lobes will have to pass through several ear stretching stages before you can use the bigger gauges. You can start with the smaller gauges; they are the ones with bigger numbers, gradually graduating to the bigger gauges, the ones with smaller numbers.

“Trainer plugs” are available to initiate your earlobes, later to be replaced later with the plugs that you may choose. Earplugs made of surgical steel or stainless steel will be good starter plugs.

Whatever plugs you’d like to wear; your earlobes should be prepared and primed properly for it. There are steps in earlobe stretching that will help in preparing your earlobes for the piercing.

You may choose to put your own 0 gauge plugs but you should know how to follow the procedures required before attempting it. One of the core requirements is disinfecting everything, especially the plugs, your ears and your hands. In case of any complications that may result from it later, you should not delay to have it treated by a qualified medical practitioner.

It’s not hard to insert 0 gauge plugs or other plugs into your ears, but if you’re not up to it, you should have the experts or professionals to do it for you. Remember, whether you choose to have 0 gauge plugs or any other plugs, you should be aware of any complications that may arise later as a consequence of it.  Earplugs are very safe to use if you just follow the correct hygiene procedures.
